Monica and Ross were at "The Lazy Harp", enjoying a quiet afternoon.
Monica, ever the fitness enthusiast, was stretching her hamstrings under the table.
"You know," Ross began, "I've been thinking about investing in a new telescope. The one I have doesn't allow me to fully appreciate the beauty of the avian creatures I observe."
Monica paused mid-stretch. "Invest? In a telescope? Why not invest in some new running shoes, or a gym membership?"
Ross blinked, taken aback. "But...birds! I need to see their intricate feather patterns!"
"Speaking of birds," Monica continued, completely ignoring him. "Did you see Mr. Henderson trying to load groceries into his car? He had a whole cart full and dropped a watermelon. It exploded everywhere!"
Ross sighed. "That's unfortunate. But imagine seeing a peregrine falcon diving from a great height! It's like a feathered jet!"
Monica stretched her arms above her head. "Well, I’d rather improve my jeté than see a bird do one."
Ross continued talking. "Did you know a group of owls is called a parliament? It’s a wealth of knowledge."
Before Monica could comment, a distinguished gentleman walked into the pub. He was of average height, carrying a small briefcase. He looked harried. It was the local minister, Father O’Malley. He noticed Monica and Ross. "Good afternoon," he greeted them with a smile.
Monica returned the smile. "Good afternoon, Father. Can I get you something?"
"Just a cup of tea, please," replied the minister. "I need something calming. I’ve been up all night loading my knowledge about ministers into a program."
"And I’m happy for all ministers to add their knowledge of ministers into my program.", Ross offered.
Monica sighed. "We must forgive Father O’Malley. He is the minister of the church that preaches the Word of the Lord. He must be exhausted."
