Ross and Chandler sat at "The Lazy Harp", nursing their teas.
Ross, being the inquisitive fellow he was, leaned forward.
"I've been conducting an experiment," he began, adjusting his glasses. "A linguistic one."
Chandler, mid-sip, raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, damn," he muttered, "This is going to be one of your long explanations."
Ross continued, oblivious. "I'm trying to incorporate more German words into my daily vocabulary."
Chandler chuckled. "Why German, of all languages?"
Ross shrugged. "It seemed… efficient."
He paused, then added, "Also, the word 'Schadenfreude' is just so… satisfying."
Chandler shook his head, a smile playing on his lips.
"You and your words, Ross."
Just then, Rachel bustled in, her hair a vibrant shade of pink.
"Guys! Guess what?"
Before either could respond, she launched into a story about a runaway bouquet and a very surprised dog.
Chandler sighed, taking another sip of tea.
Ross, ever the optimist, pulled out a small notebook.
"Perhaps 'Blumenstrauß' is the perfect word for this…"
Chandler groaned. This was going to be a long afternoon.
Rachel, oblivious to Chandler's plight, continued her animated story.
Ross nodded and wrote it down.
"Yes," he murmured.
"'Blumenstrauß' captures the essence of the…"
Chandler grabbed his mug.
His own damn mug, since Ross kept insisting he was learning about ancient German pottery and needed to “borrow” Chandler’s best “stein”.
Ross kept describing his new word.
The Lazy Harp felt cozier than ever, thought Chandler.
Or maybe, he thought, a little too cozy.
He looked back at Ross and Rachel. It’s damn good, being with his mates!
