Monica and Chandler sat in "The Lazy Harp", sipping tea.
Monica stretched her legs, nearly hitting a passing waiter.
"Sorry!" she said, then turned back to Chandler.
"You wouldn’t believe the jackass I dealt with at the gym today."
"Oh, do tell," Chandler replied, stirring his tea.
Monica launched into a story about a client who insisted on wearing a helmet during their workout.
"A helmet?" Chandler asked, raising an eyebrow. "Why?"
"He said he wanted to protect his head in case he fell," Monica explained, shaking her head.
"Some people…" Chandler muttered.
Their conversation was interrupted by the muffled sounds of barking.
"Is that a doggie?" Monica asked, peering around.
Indeed, a small, fluffy dog was weaving its way through the tables, trying to entertain itself by chasing a dropped napkin.
It bumped into Chandler's leg and he nearly spilled his tea.
"Well, that’s one way to be entertained," he quipped.
The dog’s owner, a young woman, rushed over and apologized.
"No worries," Chandler assured her.
As the woman led the doggie away, Chandler noticed a group of reporters gathered outside the pub, cameras flashing.
"Looks like the media has arrived," he said dryly.
"Probably something exciting, like a cat stuck in a tree," Monica joked.
They chuckled, and then returned to their tea and conversation, glad to be inside the cosy pub, away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin outside.
