Ross and Monica strolled down a leafy avenue, the warm afternoon sun dappling through the trees.
Monica pointed to a squirrel, "Look, Ross!" She adjusted her gym bag, ever the personal trainer.
Ross, lost in thought, was muttering about the aerodynamic properties of a pigeon's wing. "Did you know", he began, his voice taking on a lecturing tone, "that the tip of a primary feather...".
Monica cut him off, "Ross! Squirrel!"
Ross blinked. "Oh. Right."

Later, at The Lazy Harp, Chandler was regaling Tony with a story, his Dublin accent thick with amusement. "So, I says to the producer...".
Tony, halfway through a large plate of chips, nodded absently. "Uh-huh," he mumbled, chewing thoughtfully.
Chandler paused, his comedic timing thrown off. "Are you even listening?"
Tony swallowed. "Yeah, the...thing...with the...noise."
Chandler sighed. "It was a radio show, Tony. There's always noise."
