Monica and Rachel sat in their favorite booth at "The Lazy Harp." Rachel nervously played with a sugar packet.
“I feel like such a failure,” Rachel sighed, crumbling the packet. “I can’t seem to save any money. I had to borrow money from my dad this month.”
Monica, ever the optimist, patted her hand. “Everyone has financial struggles sometimes, Rach. It doesn’t make you a failure. Look, why don’t you come to my budgeting seminar next week? It could be really valuable.”
Rachel wrinkled her nose. “A budgeting seminar? Sounds thrilling. About as thrilling as watching Ross explain photosynthesis to a pigeon.”
They both chuckled. A familiar figure slumped onto a bar stool nearby. It was Chandler, nursing what looked suspiciously like his third pint.
“Speak of the devil…and his alcoholic tendencies,” Rachel muttered.
Chandler, overhearing, swiveled around. “Hey! I’m not an alcoholic! I just appreciate a good… stress reliever.”
Monica raised an eyebrow. “At 2 PM on a Tuesday?”
“It’s been a rough week,” Chandler mumbled. “The radio station is threatening to arrest me if I play 'Baby Shark' one more time.”
“You played ‘Baby Shark’ on repeat?” Monica asked, incredulous.
“It was a request!” Chandler defended weakly.
“Maybe you need a counselor, not a beer,” Rachel suggested, only half-joking.
Chandler just groaned and turned back to his pint. Monica and Rachel exchanged knowing glances. Some things, they knew, were beyond even their help.
