Vocabulary 90 - B2

Monica was stretching in her new condo, trying to reach her toes. "Almost... got it...", she muttered.[tooltip]Monica si stava allungando nel suo nuovo appartamento, cercando di toccarsi le dita dei piedi. "Quasi... ce l'ho fatta...", mormorò.[/tooltip]
Rachel burst in, holding a fluffy white cat. "Monica! Look what I found!"[tooltip]Rachel irruppe, tenendo in braccio un soffice gatto bianco. "Monica! Guarda cosa ho trovato!"[/tooltip]
Monica looked up, surprised. "A cat? Where did you find it?"[tooltip]Monica alzò lo sguardo, sorpresa. "Un gatto? Dove l'hai trovato?"[/tooltip]
Rachel said, "Near the park. It was hiding under a bush, poor thing!"[tooltip]Rachel disse: "Vicino al parco. Si nascondeva sotto un cespuglio, poverino!"[/tooltip]
Monica eyed the cat suspiciously. It had long, luxurious fur.[tooltip]Monica squadrò il gatto con sospetto. Aveva una lunga e lussuosa pelliccia.[/tooltip]

Monica and Rachel were slightly sad to see the cat go but agreed it was the right thing to do.A week later, Monica received a noise complaint from the condo association. Apparently, someone heard loud meowing coming from her apartment. Monica knew it wasn't her. She suspected it was the heartbroken owner missing Snowball, and a slight smile touched her lips.[tooltip]Il giorno dopo, un proprietario molto sollevato ritirò Snowball e la ricompensa. Monica e Rachel erano un po' tristi di vedere il gatto andare via, ma concordarono che era la cosa giusta da fare.Una settimana dopo, Monica ricevette un reclamo per rumore dall'associazione del condominio. A quanto pare, qualcuno aveva sentito forti miagolii provenire dal suo appartamento. Monica sapeva che non era lei.
