Monica and Chandler were having a routine Sunday brunch in their apartment. "Another weekend, another avocado toast," Chandler joked, spreading some hummus on his pretzel. Monica, mid-sand-dune pose on their yoga mat, replied, "Don't knock it till you try it. Besides, you need the energy for our lawn game later."

Tony arrived, carrying an assortment of pastries. "Hey guys! Sorry I'm late, Bob needed a little extra preheating time," he said, referring to his oven. "I brought some treats! Although, I might have gotten a little place confused and ended up at a bakery instead of the sports store…"

Monica raised an eyebrow at the mountain of sugar. "Tony, we're about to play badminton, not attend a bake sale." Chandler, however, had already started sampling a donut. "Finders keepers," he mumbled through a mouthful of sprinkles.

So, they ate pastries on the lawn, the badminton rackets left untouched. Monica, despite her earlier commitment to exercise, joined in the feast. Sometimes, routine could be pleasantly disrupted, she decided, licking powdered sugar from her fingers. Tony grinned. He never understood their lawn games anyway. Chandler tossed a pretzel in the air and caught it in his mouth. A light dusting of powdered sugar settled on the sand-like texture of his donut. It was a perfect, slightly chaotic, Sunday.
